Melky Cabrera is a Major League Baseball player, and he is currently a center-fielder for the New York Yankees. Cabrera began the 2005 season with the Yankees AA minor league affiliate, the Trenton Thunder. Later in the season, he was promoted to the Yankees AAA minor league affiliate, the Columbus Clippers. On July 7, 2005, Cabrera made his major league debut in a game against the Cleveland Indians at Yankee Stadium. In his first at-bat, Cabrera struck out.
