Orphium is a plant genus in the Gentian family (Gentianaceae), The name of the genus is derived from legendary Greek musician and poet Orpheus. Only one species, Orphium frutescens, commonly known as the Sea Rose, has been classified as part of this genus.

Habitat

Orphium frutescens grows in the western coastal regions of Cape Province, South Africa.
