Philodendron rugosum is a species of plant commonly known as the "Velvet Philodendron[2]," is a captivating plant that belongs to the Araceae family.

It is endemic to Ecuador. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.
