The '''National University of the Patagonia''' (Castilian: ''Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia'') is the principal [[higher education]] establishment in [[Patagonia]], southern [[Argentina]]. It is the world's southernmost university. It was created on [[January 25]], [[1980]], uniting two existing national [[university|universities]]: the "Universidad de la Patagonia San Juan Bosco" and "Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia". It is named after [[John Bosco|San Juan Bosco]], patron saint of the area.


160 seats in Parliament. Some parties(mostly minority parties/ very small parties) have no representive at parliament because they are in a coalition with another major party.
The university consists of four faculties - [[Engineering]], [[Economy]], [[Humanities]] and [[Natural Sciences]].
The faculties are spread over several cities of Patagonia: [[Puerto Madryn]], [[Trelew]], [[Esquel]], [[Comodoro Rivadavia]] and [[Ushuaia]]. The central faculty is located in Comodoro Rivadavia.
The University has 5,000 students [[as of 2005]].
