Romesh Brij Sharma (born 27 July 1947), widely known as Romesh Sharma,[1] is an Indian film producer, actor and director. Under his banner Romesh Films, he has been actively involved in the production of films and television shows for over 30 years.

Early life

Romesh Sharma was born on 27 August 1947 in the Indian town of Gurdaspur in Punjab to Brij Sharma, a well renowned film distributor of the time.

Career

He produced the blockbuster film Hum starring Amitabh Bachchan. In that movie, he also played a small role of Jumalina Gonsalves' (played by Kimi Katkar) brother.

Other films that he produced include Diljalaa starring Jackie Shroff.

He directed the film Dil Jo Bhi Kahey... featuring his son, Karan Sharma and Annabelle Wallis.
