Although someone has been broadcasting on the frequency for many years, WFHT is now under new management and is headed in a whole new direction. The format is now standards, and 1390 AM will broadcast all the Tampa Bay Rays and Tampa Bay Lightning games starting in 2008.

Music format

The music on WFHT 1390 AM is mostly Adult Standards (such as Frank Sinatra, Lou Rawls, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Ray Charles, and Ella Fitzgerald, Michael Buble, Harry Connick, Jr., Bette Midler, Rod Stewart, Diana Krall, and Jamie Cullum). Some smooth jazz artists like Kenny G, Michael Franks, Chris Botti, and Dave Koz are also thrown into the mix. Blues and contemporary jazz are occasionally played as well.

Other programming

Starting with the 2008 season, WFHT 1390 AM is the local affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays (Radio Network Map) and the Tampa Bay Lighting in the area. Local gospel programming is available on Saturday mornings and on Sunday mornings, as well.
