Senaea is a genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Gentianaceae.[1]

It is native to south eastern Brazil.[1]

The genus name of Senaea is in honour of Pedro Américo Sena (fl. 1890s), a Brazilian plant collector.[2] It was first described and published in Bot. Jahrb. Syst. Vol.17 on page 515 in 1893.[1]
