DrugScope is a UK based charity whose stated aim is to inform policy development and reduce drug-related harms. The charity's office is in Central London though its members are spread throughout the UK.
DrugScope was formed in the year 2000 from the merger of the Institute for the Study of Drug Dependence (ISDD) and the Standing Conference on Drug Abuse (SCODA).
The charity provides information on all aspects of drugs and drug use, maintaining a searchable database of over 100,000 books and journals and an online directory of treatment and other drugs services in England and Wales (Helpfinder).
The charity also publishes a bi-monthly magazine called Druglink which is geared at those working or studying in the drugs field.
Charity status
DrugScope is a registered and independent charity in the UK, number 255030, and a registered company limited by guarantee in England, number 926236.
