Stretford is a working class town in Greater Manchester, UK. It is perhaps most famous in the wider world as the home of Manchester United Football Club, although was also the birth place of the pop singer Morrissey and the painter L.S. Lowry. In terms of amenities, it features The Arndale Centre, a large (by UK standards) shopping precinct, as well as a large bingo hall. It is also home to the Greater Manchester Police "M Division" Headquarters.

It neighbours Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Urmston, Old Trafford and Sale.
