Vladimír Michálek (born November 2 1956, Mladá Boleslav) is a Czech film director and screenwriter.
He studied at the Czech film Academy FAMU. As assistant director he worked with Andrew Birkin, Reinhard Hauff, Ted Kotcheff, Margarethe von Trotta and Bernhard Wicky. He wrote the screenplay for his films America and Angel Exit.
