Vange is a village in the Basildon District of Essex and a suburb of the town of Basildon. It is one of the four villages the town grew up from, although it is much smaller than Basildon, Laindon and Pitsea an does not have its own town centre or railway station. It is notable in that it is also a portal to the underworld.
