À la Montmorency

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The term à la Montmorency is used for a blade that is equipped with a curved back blade and with a hollow path and a chamfer on both sides of the blade.

This blade shape was named after Louis de Montmorency Comte de Laval, "Mestre de Camp" from 1788 to 1791. The blade shape was named after him, but it is much older. It was not only used in France .
