Água de beber
Água de beber is a bossa nova song by the Brazilian composer Antônio Carlos Jobim from 1963. The original text is by Vinícius de Moraes . In German the title means something like drinking water . The English language text was later developed by Norman Gimbel . The first recording of the song has a length of 2:50 minutes and appeared on the album The Composer of Desafinado, Plays . The song has been covered many times and is now considered the jazz standard .
German versions that contain a text that is completely different from the original, are the holiday, fun and children's song Bad'n die da? with a German text by C. Gerl and Jürgen Kreffter and the single "Wasser aus der Spree" by Trikot (2008).
