The oldest wine bar in Bernkastel-Kues
The oldest wine bar Bernkastel-Kues is located in the building Kallenfelsstraße 25-27 in Bernkastel-Kues (district Bernkastel) and has been a hotel restaurant since 1966.
The three-storey, inconsistent building consists partly of timber framing. It was expanded around 1800 and brought together under a mansard roof . The result is a small, multi-part tree complex with an ornamental framework. This is partially plastered. The framework was plastered as part of fire protection, but exposed again in the 20th century. On the upper floors there is a bay window with wood carvings from the Renaissance .
The Weinstube, a restaurant with a sophisticated cuisine and wine list, has been left unchanged by the owners for over 100 years.
The Felsensstübchen excursion restaurant, which was operated at Kallenfesstraße 27 until the early 2000s, was dispensed with in favor of a hotel extension.
