Myrtou ( Greek Μύρτου Myrtou , Turkish Çamlıbel ) is a village north of Morfou . It belongs de jure to the Kyrenia district of the Republic of Cyprus . The place has 4,279 inhabitants and was named after the myrtle . Since 1974 until today the place belongs to the Girne district of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus .
