The Çubuk-2 dam ( Turkish Çubuk-2 Barajı ) is located in the municipality of Çubuk , 50 km north of the Turkish capital Ankara in the province of the same name .
The Çubuk-2 dam was built to supply drinking water in the years 1961–1964 on the Çubuk Çayı , the right source river of the Ankara Çayı . The barrier structure is an earth embankment dam . The height is 69 m above the foundation level and 61 m above the valley floor. The dam volume is 1.1 million m³. The reservoir covers an area of 1.2 km² at normal destination. The storage volume is 25 million m³.
