The École d'Économie de Paris (also known as the Paris School of Economics (PSE) ) is a collaboration between several French universities and two research centers in the greater Paris area .
The purpose is to bundle top-class economic research and the training of graduates. The name was chosen based on the renowned London School of Economics in order to clarify the claim of the merger. Participating institutions are the École Normale Supérieure , the Ecole nationale des ponts et chaussées , the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne , the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), and the two research centers Institut National De La Recherche Agronomique (INRA) and Center national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS).
Rankings
Since it was founded in 2006, top positions have been achieved. The global ranking of the science database RePEc lists the university in April 2020 in 5th place worldwide and 1st place in Europe (ahead of the University of Oxford ).
