The écoute [ eˈkut ] ( French: "Listen") is a French language magazine published by Spotlight Verlag since 1984 . The magazine deals with current topics of the French-speaking world in French-language articles with German vocabulary explanations. It also offers foreign language learners exercises and additional material such as flash cards and sound recordings. The range is supplemented by the écoute Audio audio magazine and the écoute Plus exercise booklet, as well as the website. The circulation sold is copies, an error in the printout: Missing operand for> from Error in the printout: Missing operand for / percent since 1998.
history
The first issue appeared in November 1984. Apart from the title page, the magazine initially had a pure black and white layout, which was gradually given a color design using four-color printing by 1995 . In 1993, the écoute audio edition appeared for the first time. On an MC (and later on CD or as a podcast), in addition to readings of selected texts from the magazine, it offered additional audio texts that were also printed in the accompanying booklet. Other innovations were écoute en classe in 2000 for school teaching purposes and in 2004 écoute plus, which contains additional exercises. In addition, the accompanying internet offer started in 2000.
