Élysée Montmartre

Elysee Montmartre is a concert hall in the district of Pigalle in the 18th arrondissement in Paris . The hall offers space for 1380 spectators.

history

The hall was opened in 1807 at location 72, Boulevard de Rochechouart. He established himself for ball and dance events. In 1895 the large garden was separated and the Le Trianon theater was built on it. In 1900 a fire destroyed the entire inner building, but it was quickly reopened. After the Second World War, sporting events such as boxing and wrestling took place, as did the first rock concerts.

Concerts have been held regularly since the mid-1970s. In 1988 the building was declared a monument historique . In 2011 the building went up in flames again, and in 2016 the property was reopened after a renovation worth 8 million euros.
