Étoile Morne-à-l'Eau is a French football club from Morne-à-l'Eau in the overseas department of Guadeloupe .

The club is important as the youth club of 37-time French national player Jocelyn Angloma . After retiring from the French national team and the top European clubs, Angloma has been playing again for Étoile Morne-à-l'Eau and the Guadeloupe football team since 2006 .

League affiliation

Étoile played for a long time in the top division of Guadeloupe and won the championship there several times since the mid-1990s. In addition, the club played in 2006/07 in the Ligue des Antilles , which is played between clubs from Guadeloupe and Martinique. In the 2003/04 season, the club took part in the French Football Cup as a representative of Guadeloupe, where they failed in the eighth round at the then French fourth division club US Boulogne . In the 2015/16 season, the club only reached 12th place and thus rose from the first division.
