The Ile Newton , also known as Newton Iceland , is a rocky island off the coast of the East Antarctic Adélielands . It is 1.9 km north-northwest of Cape Mousse .

Participants in a French Antarctic expedition that lasted from 1950 to 1951 named the island after the English philosopher and mathematician Isaac Newton (1643-1727).
