The Cape Mousse ( French for Cape Moss ) is a small, rocky cape on the coast of the East Antarctic Adélielands . It is 4 km southwest of Cape Découverte . In front of it are numerous small islands , while to the south there is a moraine that pushes through the ice cover. The highest point of the cape is the hill Le Phare with 29 m .
Participants in a French Antarctic expedition that lasted from 1949 to 1951 mapped the cape and named it after the lichens and mosses found here .
