The Ile Saint-Lanne Gramont is 45.8 sq km area, the fourth largest island of the Kerguelen -Archipels in the southern Indian Ocean . It is named after Georges Saint-Lanne Gramont , a lieutenant in Raymond Rallier du Baty's expedition (1913). It is separated by straits from the Île Foch in the east and the Loranchet peninsula in the west. The distance between Pointe Cox in the north and the southernmost point of the island is around 16 kilometers, the greatest width around 4 kilometers. The highest point on the island is 473 meters.
