The Île Tascon is a roughly rectangular tidal island ( French Île-de-marée ) of 55 hectares near Saint-Armel in the east of the Gulf of Morbihan in Brittany in France . It is the third largest island in the Gulf. Tascon is generally flat, barely 15 meters high at the north end.
At low tide, the Île Tascon is connected to the mainland by a 400 m long "Chaussée submersible" or "Gué" ( German "Tauchstraße" or ford), which is otherwise flooded by the sea. At the southern tip of the island, a second small dam (200 m long) made of sand leads to the tiny island of Enezy.
In the middle of the island, grouped around a farm, there is a small village and in the southeast some holiday apartments.
