Île de Grangent is an island in Lac de Grangent , a reservoir in the upper reaches of the Loire in the Massif Central . Administratively, it belongs to the commune of Saint-Just-Saint-Rambert in the Loire department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region .
The island is around 500 m long and up to 120 m wide. On the eastern tip of the island is the Château de Grangent , built in the 12th century .
