The Île des Oiseaux (sometimes also written Île aux Oiseaux ) ( German island of birds ) is a small uninhabited island of about 210 hectares in the West African state of Senegal . It belongs to the Delta du Saloum nature reserve and is close to the towns of Mar Lodj and Ndangane . It is known as a bird paradise.
