Îlot de Cala d'Alga is an uninhabited island in the Mediterranean Sea belonging to France .
location
It is located about 1.5 kilometers off the west coast of Corsica and belongs to the area of the city of Ajaccio . Cala d'Alga belongs to the Îles Sanguinaires archipelago . It consists of red porphyry rock and extends from southeast to northwest over about 160 meters with a width of up to 100 meters. The island reaches a height of 30 meters and is only about 20 meters off the northeast tip of the much larger island Grande Sanguinaire . To the northeast is the Île de l'Oga . Cala d'Alga is designated as a nature reserve.
