Ólafur Gunnarsson

Ólafur Gunnarsson (born July 18, 1948 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic author.

Ólafur Gunnarsson worked in the economy and as an ambulance driver. Since 1974 he has been writing novels, stories, children's books and poems. For his novel " Öxin og jörðin " ( The ax and the earth ) he was awarded the most important literary prizes in his country. The material was adapted for a play and is being filmed.
