Óscar José Rafael Berger Perdomo (born August 11, 1946 in Guatemala City ) is a Guatemalan politician . He was President of Guatemala from 2004 to 2008.

Berger is a lawyer. From January 1991 to June 1999 he was mayor of Guatemala City. On November 9, 2003, he won the presidential election with 34.3% of the vote as a candidate for the conservative Grand National Alliance (GANA). In the second ballot, he prevailed against Álvaro Colom Caballeros of the National Union of Hope with 54.1% of the vote and finally took office on January 14, 2004 as President of Guatemala .

His successor was Álvaro Colom Caballeros, who prevailed on November 4, 2007 against Otto Pérez Molina in a runoff election.
