Ödenburger bucket

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ödenburger bucket , also in the spelling Oedenburger bucket , was an Austro-Hungarian volume measure for wine and brandy . The measure differed from region to region and also made a difference with brandy. In addition to this bucket, there were also the Lower Hungarian (2868 Parisian cubic inches ) and the Upper Hungarian (3824 Parisian cubic inches), the Pressburger, the Pest and the Osner (60 halves (Viennese)).

  • 1 Ödenburger bucket = 84 halves = 80 halves (without yeast) = 3566.7 Parisian cubic inches = 70.75 liters (70.014 liters; 71.075 liters; 71.266 liters)

In comparison with the Viennese bucket , 5 Viennese were equal to 4 Ödenburgers.
