Austrian aviation (mountain) C types

The Berg C types developed by Austrian Aviation , not to be confused with the CI and C.II of the German company Aviatik, were reconnaissance aircraft developed for the Kuk aviation troops during the First World War .

The Aviatik CI was designed by Dipl.-Ing. Julius von Berg was developed and built parallel to DI 1916. The machine was next to the Hansa-Brandenburg CI the most flown C-airplane of the Kuk aviation troops. Aviatik built the 37 and 137 series with 185 and 200 hp Austro-Daimler engines, respectively. Lohner manufactured the 114 and 214 series, Lloyd the 47 series, WKF the 83 and 183 series and finally MAG the 91 series.

The prototype of the improved type C.II (30.26) flew for the first time in 1918. It was no longer produced.
