Reinhard Keimel

Reinhard Keimel (born April 12, 1944 in Vienna ) is an Austrian aviation historian .

life and work

Reinhard Keimel studied architecture at the Vienna University of Technology and initially worked at the Technical Museum Vienna as curator of the structural engineering, shipping and aviation departments and later as head of the transport department.

Since 1976 he has been President of the Austrian Aviation Archive and editor of the quarterly association magazine "FLUG-Informations". Together with Toni Kahlbacher , he played a key role in founding the Aviaticum flight museum in Wiener Neustadt , which opened in 1999.

He is the author of numerous publications on Austrian aviation history .
