Austrian Police Sports Association

The Austrian Police Sports Association (ÖPOLSV) is the umbrella organization for police sports in Austria . The president of the association is Brigadier Willibald Liberia . The seat is in Wiener Neustadt .

When the two guards of the police and federal gendarmerie merged in Austria on July 1, 2005 , the "Austrian Police Sports Association" merged with the "Austrian Gendarmerie Sports Association" and in 2006 the independent and non-partisan Austrian Police Sports Association (ÖPOLSV) was founded.
The ÖPOLSV is also a member of the European Police Sports Association of the “ Union Sportive des Polices d'Europe ” (USPE) and of the World Police Sports Association, the “ Union Sportive Internationale des Polices ” (USIP).

The association's goal is to maintain and promote popular, service, competitive and top-class sport in the police and in the 23 independent and independent police sports clubs with around 24,000 athletes:

Under the patronage of the ÖPOLSV, the Austrian Federal Police Championships (ÖBPM) are held at different locations throughout the year.
