The Union Sportive des Polices d'Europe ( USPE ) is the European Police Sports Federation founded in 1950.

The European Police Sports Federation was founded as "Union Sportive des Polices d'Europe" (USPE) on the initiative of the French Police Sports Federation on November 30, 1950 in Paris. A USPE congress takes place every two years and each member state sends two delegates. The next congress will take place in 2016 in Berlin / Germany.
The aim of the USPE is to promote sport within all police forces in Europe and to coordinate the preparation, implementation and control of international competitions. For this purpose, the USPE also organizes European Police Championships in 16 sports disciplines every four years:

On the occasion of the 4th USPE Congress on September 5, 1954 in Stockholm, the German Police Sports Board (DPSK) joined the European Police Sports Association.
The USPE currently consists of 40 European nations: (as of August 2014)
Albania, Armenia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia , Moldova, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Switzerland, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Czech Republic, Turkey, Ukraine, Hungary, United Kingdom and Cyprus
At the national level, this is done by the relevant associations - such as the German Police Sports Board (DPSK) or the Austrian Police Sports Association (ÖPOLSV).
The headquarters of the General Secretariat of the USPE has been in Germany since 1995 and is now in Berlin .
The European Police Achievement Badge (also known as EPLA) is awarded by the USPE for special sporting achievements that must be achieved in the four categories of endurance, strength, speed and coordination.
