Austrian student golf cup

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Austrian Student Golf Cup (ÖSGC) was held for the first time in 2009. It is a tournament series of the Austrian Golf Association (ÖGV) for students in 4 age groups: U10, U12, U14 and U16, each with separate ratings for girls and boys. The aim of this series of tournaments is to make it easier for schoolchildren to access golf and to enable them to compare sporting activities with their peers.

The 18-hole tournaments within the framework of the ÖSGC are played on golf courses throughout Austria with gross and net scores (according to Stableford ). The tournaments are preferably played on weekends during school hours and also during the week during holidays. All tournaments are handicap effective. The entry fee for the children is deliberately kept at 15 euros for me.

In all age groups, an annual rating for “net” and “gross” is created separately for girls and boys, namely from the 5 best results of each child - the prerequisite for inclusion in the annual rating is participation in at least 5 tournaments.
