The Austrian Golf Association (ÖGV) (official name: Austrian Golf Association ) is the professional association for golf in Austria.

history

The ÖGV was founded in 1931 . The seat is in Vienna.

purpose

The purpose of the association is to protect and promote the interests of golf in Austria. It is not geared towards profit. The association is responsible for:

  • to decide all questions related to golf in Austria;
  • to maintain and regulate golfing relationships with foreign countries and to protect the interests of Austrian golf and Austrian golfers vis-à-vis foreign countries;
  • to determine the rules of the game, to regulate the game of games and to issue regulations for the establishment of the requirements and standards of the Austrian golf courses;
  • to set the dates of matches, to organize Austrian championships, international competitions and other association competitions;
  • to take advantage of all opportunities that are suitable to promote the interests of golf in Austria, in particular the promotion of young talent, for example through the Austrian Student Golf Cup
