The Östersund / Brunflo IF (also known as Östersund Hockey ) was a Swedish ice hockey club from Östersund . The team played in Division 1 from 2006 to 2011 .
history
The Östersund / Brunflo IF was created in 2006 by merging the men's teams of Brunflo IK and Jämtland HF , the professional team of Östersund IK that was outsourced from the main club in 2003 . The team took part in the third division Division 1 from the 2006/07 season . Following the 2010/11 season , the syndicate was dissolved again and the license to participate in Division 1 went to Östersunds IK. Since the 2012/13 season , Brunflo IK and Östersunds IK have both played their own teams in Division 1.
