  • The agreement on government procurement (Engl. Government Procurement Agreement , GPA short) is an international plurilateral agreements between parties to the World Trade Organization (WTO), which regulates access to public contracts. The GPA, like the establishment of the WTO, was decided on April 15, 1994 and came into force on January 1, 1996.

    By July 2016, the following 19 parties had signed the agreement:

    Another 31 states have observer status . Ten of them (Albania, Australia, China, Georgia, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, North Macedonia, Oman, Russia and Tajikistan) are negotiating accession.
