Over complete (military)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The service position of the over-complete was a specialty of the Prussian military of all branches of service. These were cantonists who were usually on leave and were only called up during the drill months to fill gaps caused by illness or other absences. The place was not equipped with a rifle (or horse), instead the over-complete ones took it over from the sick person.
