Transference love

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Transference love is a psychoanalytic term for the transference of love from an original to a new goal. Due to its frequent use in the context of psychoanalysis, the term is mostly used today in the sense of a mental disorder . Peter Sloterdijk points out that this usage is too narrow and should be broadened by viewing transference as a source of open creative processes.
