The steam locomotive series MÁV X was a tank locomotive series of the Hungarian state railways MÁV , which was also procured and operated by other railway companies.

The MÁV X

In 1881 the MÁV had four copies built as twin locomotives in Budapest , which were followed by 18 more in 1882/83. In this delivery, one piece was designed as a composite locomotive . It was probably the MÁV '568 (the later 5154, 20.022). It was the first compound locomotive in Hungary . Since the network variant performed better than the twin locomotives, all machines of this type were converted accordingly. The table shows the slightly different values for the composite variant in the second column.

In the third designation scheme of the MÁV, they were given the series designation 20.

Szatmár – Nagybánya 1-3

In 1884 the Szatmár - Nagybánya local railway ordered three twin engines in Budapest, which were very similar in size to the MÁV's twin locomotives . Your data appears in the third column of the table.

These three machines came with the company numbers 1076-1078, from 1891 5155-5157, from 1911 20,023-025 to the MÁV.

MÉKV 300-301

Immediately after the above delivery, Budapest built two twin machines, which were identical in construction to the MÁV twins, for the Hungarian Northeast Railway (Magyar Északkeöeti Vasút, MÉKV ), whose numbers 300 and 301 they became.

In 1889 the two machines came to the Popradtalbahn . There they wore the numbers 1 and 2.

In 1893 they came to the Kaschau-Oderberger Bahn (KsOd) as 501 and 502.

After the nationalization of the KsOd in 1924, the 501 was even given a ČSD number, namely 200.201. It was retired in 1927.
