The CSD series 464.1 was a fast train - tank locomotive of the then Czechoslovak State Railways (CSD). It was created in 1940 in two copies as a further development from the ČSD series 464.0 .
history
The heating and grate surfaces have been reduced, and better boiler materials have increased the steam pressure from 13 bar to 18 bar. As a result, the engine dimensions were reduced accordingly. The steel fire rifle had movable stud bolts and three continuous boiling tubes to increase the water circulation. The fire doors could be opened from the side using a pedal.
The area of application and the performance requirements were the same as for the ČSD series 464.0 . The machines were primarily responsible for the transport of passenger and express trains on the main routes in the mountains. The locomotives were located in the depots Nymburk , Hradec Králové and Havlíčkův Brod .
While 464.101 was retired on September 11, 1979 and later scrapped, the 464.102 locomotive was retained. It was taken out of service on September 26, 1977 and then continued to be used as the K687 heating locomotive. After its retirement, it was included in the operational museum locomotives of the ČSD or today's ČD . In the meantime, due to expired deadlines, the historically valuable locomotive is to be made operational again by 2021 with funds from an EU funding program.
