The Czechoslovak company ČKD called type D 760/90 a series of narrow-gauge tank locomotives for Bosnian gauge (760 mm), which were designed for use on forest railways.
history
On the basis of a public competition from the Ministry of Agriculture in 1927 for a powerful four-axle locomotive for the State Forest Railway (Státní lesní dráha; SLD), the company ČKD in Prague produced three more units in 1930 after a prototype locomotive (1929) Factory type D 760/90. In 1930 the Ministry of Agriculture ordered another five modernized locomotives of this type. From the literature, however, only four manufactured machines can be seen, so that it must be assumed that the ordered locomotives were no longer manufactured.
The locomotives initially carried numbers 3, 4, 6 and 8 of the Tereswatal Forest Railway . The State Forest Railway later gave them the numbers U 45.907 to U 45.910. When the railway area fell back to Hungary in 1939, they were managed by what is now Taracsvölgyi erdei vasút (TEV) with the numbers K 45.906 to 908. The fourth, the last machine to be built with the former designation U 45.910, was initially used in 1940 in Okres Rachov . Later it appeared during the Second World War on the industrial railway Králův Dvůr – Beroun – Koněprusy , where its use can be followed up to 1962. It was number 15 there.
