Šamaš-hasir
Šamaš-hasir (also Shamasch-hasir, Samas-hasir ) was in the 18th century BC. An old Babylonian official of King Hammurabi .
As a civil servant, Šamaš-hasir was probably involved in the administration of the royal land in the area of Larsa . About one hundred letters from the Hammurapis Chancellery in Babylon are known, which mainly deal with the field of field cultivation and surveying and in some cases also deal with complaints from the residents of Larsa about Šamaš-hasir. In them, Šamaš-hasir is also warned of the approaching flood and instructed to have dams built.
