Šeki Bihorac

Šefćet "Šeki" Bihorac (* in Sjenica , Yugoslavia , now Serbia ) is a Bosnian turbo-folk singer, mainly in Bosnia and Herzegovina , and Sandžak gained a greater degree of popularity.

Bihorac spent his childhood in Sjenica and grew up in a working-class family. He was interested in music as a child and started singing, which led to his parents sending him to Sarajevo in the late 1970s to further his musical education. As a teenager he performed in various bars in Sarajevo with the support of Ćazim Čolaković . After numerous successful appearances, Bihorac got a contract with Jugodisk and recorded his first album Ne zovite doktore in 1990 . To date, a total of seven more albums have followed.

In 2010 , Šeki took first place at the regionally highly regarded "Bihaćki Festiva" with the song Korak iza oblaka and thus won the Bihać Prize .

Šeki Bihorac continues to live with his family in the Bosnian capital Sarajevo , but has his second residence in Germany , where he initially moved as a war refugee during the Bosnian War .
