Żonqor Point ( Maltese Ponta taż-Żonqor ) is the easternmost point of the island of Malta and the Republic of Malta . It is located at the northern end of Marsaskala Bay in the municipality of Marsaskala . In the area there are salt marshes , the Żonqor Point Salt Pans , where sea salt is extracted.
Nearby was the Żonqor Tower , the eleventh of the thirteen De Redin Towers .
