Žig is a former Croatian-language local biweekly newspaper with editorial offices in Subotica , Vojvodina , Serbia .

history

The newspaper was founded in Subotica in 1994 . The founders were the employees of Glas ravnice , who were not satisfied with the editorial policy. The date of the first edition was July 15, 1994. Žig was published until 1998.

Žig's editor was the Hrvatski kulturni centar "Bunjevačko kolo (Croatian Cultural Center Bunjevačko kolo) from Subotica.

The editor was Vojislav Sekelj. He tried to profile Žig like a newspaper with a liberal-bourgeois conception, but especially to write to the Croatian (" nastojao sam sprovesti koncepciju koja će iskazivati ​​liberalno-građansko opredjeljenje, ali s prepoznatljivim znakovljem obraćanja ").
