Psychic Academy

Psychic Academy ( Japanese サ イ キ ッ ク ア カ デ ミ ー 煌 羅 万象 , Saikikku Akademī Ōra Banshō ) is a manga by Katsu Aki , on the basis of which a web anime was also produced. The story describes a romance in a novel fantasy world.

Ai Shiomi, 16, is sent to one of the new schools for paranormal skills, the Psychic Academy . He doesn't actually want to go there, but he soon realizes that he has just as extraordinary power, the aura, as the other students at the academy. Ai's brother, who is already a legend among the aura masters and always wants to protect his little brother, is particularly happy about this. At the academy, Ai meets his childhood friend, Orina, with whom he is in love. There is also a strange girl who seems to avoid social contact, but who seems to have a strange relationship with him.

Characters

Ai Shiomi , the main character, really just wants to lead a normal life away from all auras and special powers. However, his talent catches up with him and he cannot escape his fate. He is happy to see Orina again and he keeps getting in touch with Myu.

Orina , the friend from childhood, meets Ai again at the academy. She is in love with him and wants to build a relationship with him again. She has a very good friendship with Myu, which she would never endanger.

Zerodyme , Ai's brother, never misses an opportunity to tease and expose his brother - but he keeps saying that he will always stand by his little Ai. Zero is considered the most powerful aura master.

Myu , the strange classmate, seems to have a very high aura level. She avoids any contact as much as possible. Only in Orina and Ai does she build trust. Myu and Ai seem to have a special relationship with each other.

Manga

In Japan, Psychic Academy was published in Z magazine by Kodansha from 1999 to 2003 . The German version was published in Manga Power magazine before Egmont Manga and Anime published the series in 11 individual volumes.

Anime

A 24-episode web anime called φchic academy Ōra Banshō was broadcast in Japan from March to September 2002. Each episode is approximately 10 minutes long and was published online at Lycos Japan. The opening title Say Over was sung by Rie Tanaka and Tsugumi Higasayama , who also lend Orina and Myu the voices. The closing song Love Angel was sung together by A-my and MION.
