Rie Tanaka
Rie Tanaka ( Japanese 田中 理 恵 , Tanaka Rie ; born January 3, 1979 in Sapporo , Hokkaidō ) is a Japanese voice actress ( seiyū ) and singer, who was mainly known through her role as Lacus Clyne in Gundam Seed / Gundam Seed Destiny and Chii in Chobits is known. She is often called "Rie-Rie" by her fans.
Life
Tanaka was a member of the "book club" in elementary school because she loved reading aloud. When she attended a reading event, the children were enthusiastic about her performance and the teachers praised her performance, which motivated her to decide to become a seiyū. She made her debut in 1998 as Akiko in Dokkiri Doctor . As a child, Tanaka took singing lessons and performed in numerous concerts. In 2001 and 2003 she released two albums as a solo artist, Garnet and 24 wishes . However, it has not been significantly successful so far. In June 2009 she published her first photo book, Aya Rie .
Since 2003 Rie Tanaka has had a fan club called "Café de Rie".
On June 17, 2012, she married the voice actor Kōichi Yamadera .
