The first SC TEMPISH Vitkovice is a floorball club from the town of Ostrava. Together with Tatran Střešovice, he is one of the most successful clubs in Czech floorball. Both the men's first team and the women's first team play in the top Czech division. The men play in the Tipsport Super League , the women in the Extra League .
history
The association was founded in 1992 in the then Czech town of Vítkovice . The name at the time was 1. SC Ostrava. In 1994 it was renamed 1. SC SSK Vítkovice. Under this name, the men won the championship in 1996, 1997 and 2000. The women in 2000 also won the top division.
In 2008 the name was changed again. Henceforth the club in occurs under the name 1. SC Vítkovice WOOW Tipsport Super League and the Extraliga on. Under the new name, the men's team won the Czech championship three times again. The women won the championship in 2014 under this name.
After the successful 2014 season, the floorball material manufacturer Oxdog joined the Czech champions. The name was changed again to 1. SC Vítkovice Oxdog. The team played under this name for two years before the sporting goods manufacturer TEMPISH entered Vítkovice. Since then the club has been the 1st SC TEMPISH Vítkovice.
